Peace march and the 11th Memorial Demonstration for the War Dead
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, we held the 11th Memorial Demonstration for the War Dead at Peace Memorial Park in Itoman.
In 2025 Okinawa marked 80 years since the end of the war. Our association values karate as a “martial art of peace”. To pray for lasting peace, we held a peace march before the demonstration, from the Itoman Peace City Declaration Monument to the Cornerstone of Peace.

At the demonstration, 84 people from 10 dojos gathered before the Flame of Peace. They performed karate to honor the souls of the war dead and to pray that war never happens again.
